Coaching Bio

Coach Sporer is in her first season as the Varsity Swimming coach. She is originally from Ontario, New York and graduated from Wayne Central High School in 1993, where she played soccer, tennis, volleyball, and track. Coach Sporer was the Head Girls Soccer coach at Shamokin Area (1998-2001) and Head Girls Track Coach at Greenville Area (2003-2007), she was also an assistant coach at both districts in multiple sports, as well as at the Greater Johnstown City SD in her first year of teaching.

After high school, Coach Sporer attended Edinboro University and served as captain of the Women's Tennis and Soccer teams, and also competed in Track and field all 4 years; she received a BS degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education in 1997. While teaching and coaching at Greenville Area SD, she attended Gannon University where she received a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006.

Coach Sporer currently works as a teacher of Gifted Enrichment K-8 for the Wellsboro Area School District. She lives in Wellsboro with son Wyatt, daughter Ryleigh, and 2 yellow labs.
