Coach Pietropola is in his 14th year as the Defensive Coordinator for the Hornet football team. Coach Pietropola was the head coach of the Hornets from 1999-2000 and returned full-time during the 2013 season after he last coached during the 2008 season under Chris Morral. Before moving to Wellsboro in 1999 to fill the vacated head coaching position, Coach Pietropola spent one year at North Allegheny High School as an assistant coach. During his time at Wellsboro, Coach Pietropola was in charge of Wellsboro's attack-based defensive schemes.
After graduating from North Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1990, Coach Pietropola attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania majoring in Health and Physical Education. Coach Pietropola played on Special Teams, in addition to playing Tight End before graduating in 1994.
Coach Pietropola lives in Wellsboro and is the Principal at the Rock L. Butler Middle School. Coach Pietropola is extremely involved in all athletic programs in Wellsboro. Coach Pietropola has three children with his wife Lisa; Michael, Collin, and Emma.
