The Wellsboro Varsity girls cross country team picked up 2 league wins as they beat Troy and NEB last night.
The Hornets captured the third through seventh positions as they defeated Troy 15-50 and Northeast Bradford 20-39.
Freshman Jada Jackson finished third for the Hornets with a time of 21:48 and Freshman Jordyn Coffee was right behind her in fourth in a time of 21:59.
Rounding out the rest of the runners were Junior Charlotte Worthington in 5th (22:31), Senior Randi Grim in 6th (22:43), Freshman Hannah Hood in 7th (23:39), Freshman Camryn Keane in 10th (24:07), and Sophomore Denae Ingerick in 13th (24:49).
In the Middle School race, the Hornets fell to Troy 35-20 and Northeast Bradford 42-17.
With the two wins, the Varsity team improves to 7-1 overall. The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 4 as they host Central Mountain and Jersey Shore.
